Anyway - we had an "accidental" pumpkin plant that grew in the polytunnel - probably from a discarded seed... who knows ?? But I didn't plant it. It bobbled along quite merrily under the tomatoes.
Et voilá !!!
I predict pumpkin, blue cheese and sage risotto, pumpkin soup and of course, the mandatory Hallowe'en lantern.

Hiya H
Due to illness, I've had no appetite for weeks, and can't face any big meals, so my Ma is gonna make a big pan of Pumpkin soup, and I'm looking forward to a small bowl of that - I've never tried it before, and am curious to find out what it tastes like.
Can you roast the seeds for eating?
I have to admit to only growing a couple of pumpkins for the kids for Hallowe'en, and slinging the flesh out. But having roasted some butternut squash last week, I would think pumpkin could be rather delicious. Pumpkin and potato mash?
I've just sat and read the total blog, and I have to say I'm rather green with envy at the whole adventure. I'm sure it's not been totally idyllic (at least maybe in the occasional moment?), but it looks like a great life yer livin' there.
And I want your polytunnel! Gimme!!!
Love to you all.
