Yes - I know it's been a while - no posts since Christmas then I do a mad catch-up.
As most of the gardeners reading this will know, it's busy-time outside right now... been weeding, digging and planting like a madwoman.
Jobs done to date are...
-all empty beds weeded and dug, perennial crops (rhubarb, strawberries, asparagus, artichokes) given some tidying up and TLC
-seeds sown in trays in the polytunnel - tomatoes (about 10 varieties), peppers, chillis, aubergines, sprouts, cabbages, cauliflower, sweetcorn, peas, broad beans, french beans, runner beans and various herbs.
-first and second early potatoes planted
Now that the days are getting longer, and we've just had a spell of unseasonably warm weather - (I was digging the potato trenches in jeans and a vest-top, and have a sun-tan mark to prove it !! in March !!) we've been getting out and enjoying the longer days.
Add to that, the school garden project which I haven't any photos of (yet) which involved taking an overgrown wilderness of brambles and rocks and transforming it in a period of 4 days into a fully functioning veg plot (eat yer heart out Ground Force) and there you have it. Tired and grubby.
